5-week Virtual Fall Walk-a-thon

While COVID-19 may have us physically distanced, it doesn't mean we have to disconnect socially. Health by Design invites you to walk together - apart! You and your eligible dependents are invited to "virtually" walk with fellow retirees of the San Antonio Fire and Police Departments for a 5-week walking marathon. Once completed, you will have walked approximately 37 miles.

How does it work? You will "meet" with other walkers via video call, from the comfort of your home, on Monday mornings at 10. Your fitness instructor, Sherri Rubins, will be on the video call too, to ask how everyone is doing with their walking, give some encouragement, and then provide brief instruction for the rest of the week's walking program. You can then sign-off and start your Monday walk. The rest of the week's walking time is done on your own, until the following Monday when we check in again.
